Signed! We are extremely proud to share with you that we have signed a sponsor contract with Chinese car brand BYD. They will not only provide us a ‘brand new’ car, but also cover all our travel expenses. Because it sounds too good to be true, we sold our souls for eternity in return.

With our car sponsor on board, there is no way back. Departure is scheduled on July 19, and we’re working around the clock together with BYD to make this trip happen. But first, we celebrate!

How did we do this?
Let’s build this dream!Just before Christmas last year one of our many emails to car brands got forwarded to the Marketing Director of BYD. We met them at the BYD European HQ on an industrial park on the outskirts of Rotterdam on a cold day between Christmas and New Years. During our meeting the Managing Director dropped in – one of the most senior figures in the company – and told us with a lot of enthusiasm “Let’s build this dream!”.

A couple months and many emails later, we flew to Shenzhen. We met the local team and all foreign distributers in a 5-star hotel surrounded by palm trees and a white beach. We gave a presentation and got everybody excited. And so it didn’t take long anymore before we received a signed copy of our sponsor contract back.
