After a couple of casual calls we decided to meet. It was a sunny afternoon at a BYD showroom in a new neighbourhood on the outskirts of Shanghai. We where dressed up. Anxious to meet her for the first time. We had only seen her on the photos. But this was our first real life encounter with our BYD F5.
The occasion was a photo shoot for Dutch media. They requested to have a photo of us, with the car. So together with the Dutch reporter and a joyful BYD car salesman we hit the road to take some photos.
The result are a series of happy photos (extremely suitable for stock photography websites). Two western guys, driving a car without license plate, pointing fingers in the distance, while holding a map. All of that, while smiling.

Although the photos couldn’t be more cliche, we couldn’t care less. Within two months, we will take her on a journey on the old silk road. The ultimate relationship test between us and our BYD F5. For us, it was love at first sight.
