Day 81 – Greece to Italy

Bongiorno Italy! We are really close to Holland now, or so it feels at least. We took the overnight ferry from Igoumenitsa (Greece) to Brindisi (Italy) and after a relaxing sleep on the public benches on the ferry we made it to Italy!

The journey continued along the coast of the Adriatic Sea to the beautiful village of Vieste. Vieste is a true summer-season overcrowded tourist town but in these Indian Summer days of mid-October, a week later the town would totally close and turn into a ghost-town until Easter, it’s actually a very chilled-out place to stay at. We felt like writers who went to their autumn retreat!
