Holy Samarkand, no name is so evocative of the Silk Road as Samarkand. Great historical figures have ruled or stayed in this city for many years: Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Marco Polo, Amir Timur. We set off in the morning to discover this place ourselves and were blown away by its magical appearance.
