Day 58 – Interviews in Tehran

We met up with Mr. Hua, who is from Hangzhou and living in Tehran since 2008. We interviewed him for our series ‘meeting remarkable Chinese overseas’. He is running a hotel that accommodates mostly Chinese businessmen. It was really fascinating how his living room, including the watermelon on the table, and three smoking Chinese businessmen made us instantly feel back in China!

On the same day we also had the great pleasure to talk to Mr. Mardani from Simaron consultancy about mobility in Tehran and possible ways to solve the traffic problems and air pollution in this city. Could a push in electric vehicles (scooters, motors and cars) help? Just like in Shanghai. Or would a combined approach of measures help? I will elaborate on this subject in my book.
