Day 38 – Aksu Nature Reserve

We said goodbye to the wonderful family where we spent the night at their excellent homestay. We really felt at home as we were guests in their house and they cooked us delicious food that came straight out of the garden. Including home-made naan bread! This was all arranged through the excellent NGO of Wild Nature and the truly inspiring Svetlana and her husband Vladimir.

We made our way into the mountains, following the excellent 4×4 Lada, while our BYD F5 had no problems with the terrain. We arrived at a cave that didn’t look like a whole lot but behind the small entrance, and a narrow corridor, a whole new world opened up. White crystals and chalk appeared in a large cave hundreds of meters into the earth. Quite the adventure to discover!

This was followed by a refreshing jump into a lake and an excellent lunch in the mountains. Truly a great day again surrounded with great people around us.

Hey Guys, just some information my brother passed to me. They are in Uzbekistan now and there is only 80 Octan Gasoline available which caused some problems for their bikes.
You should confirm with BYD that 80 Octane or even 72 is ok for your cars engine….
    Have a safe trip!
